Who:
A collaboration between three foundations, charities, and other volunteers
The Ollie Plan (501C3 non-profit charity based in Tampa)
Boards For Bros (501C3 non-profit charity based in Tampa)
The Concrete Jungle Foundation (Non-profit charity operating around the world)
Why:
The Ollie Plan's mission is to promote and support positive life values such as determination, confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging, which can be learned through the sport and gift of skateboarding. The Peru Project is a collaborative endeavor to achieve this goal
Show how skateboarding can be a positive force of good in the world and encourage opportunities for change and betterment for all involved
Major Goals:
Distribute 300+ complete skateboards to those in need and provide skateboard instruction via three primary community events
Support individual connections to the sport and its community, which can potentially grow and serve people for their lifetime
Raise $30,000 to fund the project and its objectives
Where:
Capital of Peru Lima (Various public skateparks will be visited)
Alto-Trujillo (Public Skateparks in a rural mountain village; CJF lesson program)
Lobitos Skatepark (Rural community on the outskirts of Peru)
La Rampa Skatepark in Cerrito (Rural mountainside village; EduSkate Program)
Different DIY skateparks and diverse communities along the travel path to these three central locations
